Software and AI architecture
Translate an operational need into a maintainable application, with integrations, clear permissions and human oversight.
Professional profile
I design and build software for the way people actually work. Today, that means AI applications connected to business data, decisions and everyday operations.
My background combines healthcare IT, medical statistics and software development with the experience of implementing systems, training users and leading technical teams.
Current work / IASYOM
Four applications bring AI into specific operational processes. DispatcherAI, TeamPresence and AnyBook are in production. SymaDoc is in a production pilot.
Incident response
Captures incident calls, identifies equipment and alerts the service team. The human dispatcher stays involved in decisions and escalation.
Explore solutionTeam operations
Brings attendance, leave and approvals together. AI uses permitted application data to assist people, with confirmation before changes.
Explore solutionConversational bookings
Supports business setup and bookings through conversation. Chat and voice requests connect to an engine that checks availability and booking rules.
Explore solutionDocument management
Classifies documents, proposes routing and answers questions with sources. Local AI, access permissions and human confirmation support document workflows.
Explore solutionProfessional experience
Selected roles and projects, from clinical data applications to national reporting systems and applied AI. Some programmes and responsibilities ran in parallel.
1999–2003
National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”
Built an Excel, Access and VBA application for chronic-hepatitis monitoring, bringing together clinical history, laboratory results and treatment. Later took on Computing Office responsibilities as the institute’s IT environment developed.
From 2001
HIV/AIDS programme platform
Designed and implemented an ASP.NET and SQL Server application for clinical and programme data across eight regional centres. Trained users on site and extended the system with clinical-monitoring modules.
2003–2018
National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”
Coordinated approximately 25 people across reporting, data analysis, national health programmes and IT operations. Contributed to networks, servers, hospital-system integration and data-centre development.
From 2013
HIV programme data and reporting
Designed the collection, standardisation, validation and consolidation process for programme data from approximately 50 hospitals, supporting recurring national analysis, reporting and planning.
2018
Info World
Worked within a hospital information systems vendor, adding the perspective of a software supplier to my experience inside a healthcare institution.
2018–2021
Healthcare data and institutional support
Continued collaboration with the institute on data analysis, reporting, UATM support, web communication and selected IT processes.
2020–2021
Epidemiological and laboratory reporting
Collected, validated, processed and analysed data for frequent institutional and national reporting, while maintaining ongoing reporting workflows and IT support.
2024–present
Conversational applications and operational software
Design and deploy applications that connect voice, text and AI assistance to business data and actions. At IASYOM, I lead the technical work behind the current product portfolio.
How I contribute
Translate an operational need into a maintainable application, with integrations, clear permissions and human oversight.
Model, validate and analyse data. Build reporting processes that institutions can use repeatedly and consistently.
Connect applications with networks, servers and existing systems, then support deployment and ongoing operation.
Coordinate teams, work with stakeholders and train users so the software becomes part of their everyday work.
Selected tools and technologies.NET / ASP.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, Python, Power BI, SPSS, Excel / VBA, local and cloud AI, telephony integration.
Selected research contributions
Alongside my work in healthcare IT and medical statistics, I have co-authored conference abstracts on HIV surveillance, viral hepatitis and comorbidity screening, published in BMC Infectious Diseases. The selection below links to the original publications.

I welcome conversations about software projects, AI integration and commercial partnerships, as well as investment in IASYOM’s growth and collaboration on medical AI research.
